FRANKFURT FINALE

I end my wonderful study abroad trip with a weekend trip to Frankfurt.  We took a five hour train ride and showed up in the heart of the city.  My two favorite sites that we saw there was Myzeil by Massiniliano Fuksas.  This was a mall that we were able to visit.  What is really impressive is the interior.  Its great because the floors are not pancaked and you can be on the third floor and see down into the first floor.  Also the glass roof is impressive because it funnels in and out of the building.

My other favorite building that I saw on this trip was Museum of Kunstwerk by Richard Mier.  This one was amazing and everything that they ever say about a Richard Mier building.  I definitely felt lucky to be able to see this one.

EXCURSION: DAY FIVE

We woke up the next morning and got a surprise stop at the Porsche Museum.  We didn't get to go inside but got a few good pics in the rain.

Ohh the excitement!
When we separated for lunch Brian and I found a bus stop that is done by Peter Eisenmen!  Ahhhhh! What a find! I was excited that we found it and I proceeded to model and pose under it as Brian took pics.

We climbed to the top of a spire on the Charlemain's Cathedral.  This has got to the largest building that I have ever seen in my life and we climbed to the top! I am amazed at how people were able to engineer and construct something with so much mass and detail in the time period they were in.
